Water Eject

Push water out of your phone speaker with a swept sine-wave that drives droplets free in about ten seconds.

Try it now

Water Eject — run it right here

A 10-second sine sweep from 100 Hz to 500 Hz, identical to the Auto Clean mode inside the Android app. Tap start, point your speaker down, and let the sound do the work.

Before you start: unplug headphones, point your speaker toward the floor, and set your device volume to a comfortable level. This page runs the same tone the Android app uses, in your browser.

Ready when you are.

The tone climbs linearly from 100 Hz to 500 Hz over 10 seconds. Water in the speaker chamber loses surface tension at one of these frequencies and slides out.

  • Hold the phone speaker-down so droplets fall away.
  • Wipe the grille with a soft cloth after each run.

What it does

Phone speakers trap water after every shower, swim, or rainy commute. Liquid sitting against the speaker membrane muffles audio, lowers call quality, and can corrode the driver if it stays for days.

Water Eject runs an automatic frequency sweep that vibrates the speaker grille at the resonant range where surface tension breaks. Droplets bead up and slide out — no shaking, no rice trick, no opening the device.

Step by step

How to use it

  1. 01

    Place the phone speaker-down

Hold or rest your phone so the speaker grille points toward the floor. Gravity helps the freed droplets exit.

  2. 02

    Tap Water Eject

The app sweeps a clean sine tone from 100 Hz up to 500 Hz over about ten seconds.

  3. 03

    Wipe and verify

Dab the grille with a soft cloth. Re-run if you still hear muffled audio — most phones clear after one or two passes.

Common questions

About Water Eject

Is Water Eject safe for my phone?

Yes. The tone stays within the speaker's normal operating range. Run it at the suggested volume and avoid covering the grille with your hand.

How many times should I run it?

One or two cycles usually clear the speaker. If audio is still muffled after three cycles, leave the phone in a dry, ventilated spot and try again later.

Will it work if my phone is fully submerged?

Water Eject removes water from the speaker chamber, not from the entire device. For full submersion, power off the phone and follow the manufacturer's drying guidance first.
