Volume Booster

Push speaker output beyond the system maximum with a system-level loudness enhancer that boosts up to six decibels.

What it does

Android caps speaker output at a conservative level to protect the driver. In quiet rooms that's fine — outdoors or in a noisy car, it's often not loud enough.

Volume Booster taps the LoudnessEnhancer API to add headroom on top of the system maximum. Choose a preset (125%, 150%, 175%, or Max) and audio gets louder instantly through a foreground service that survives app switches.

Step by step

How to use it

  1. 01

    Open Volume Booster

The app launches a persistent foreground service so the boost keeps running while you switch to YouTube, Spotify, or any other app.

  2. 02

    Pick a preset

125% is safe for daily use. Max adds the full +6,000 millibels — use sparingly to protect your hearing and speaker.

  3. 03

    Stop anytime

Tap the persistent notification or open the app to disable boost. Volume returns to the system level immediately.

Common questions

About Volume Booster

Will boosting damage my speaker?

Sustained max boost at full volume can stress the driver over time. Stick to 125% or 150% for daily use and only go higher when you genuinely need it.

Is it safe for my hearing?

At higher boost levels, sustained listening exceeds safe exposure limits. Lower the volume when using headphones and take breaks.

Why isn't the boost working in some apps?

A few apps use exclusive audio routing that bypasses system effects. Most music and video apps work; voice-call audio does not.
